Privacy policy

Policy for the processing of personal data by the Museum of the Eastern Territories of the Former Commonwealth in Lublin.

 

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, Official Journal of the EU, L 119/1 of 4 May 2016 (hereinafter: General Data Protection Regulation) The Lublin Museum in Lublin, as the Controller of your personal data, being a natural person (data subject), provides the following information.

 

  1. Data relating to the Data Controller:

 

  1. The Controller of the personal data is the National Museum (hereinafter referred to as the Museum) in Lublin with its seat in Lublin , ul. Zamkowa 9 20-117 Lublin, email: dyrektor@mnwl.pl

 

  1. Appointment of the Data Protection Officer

 

  1. The Museum has appointed a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted at: ul. Zamkowa 9, 20-117 Lublin or by e-mail at: iod@mnwl.pl. The Data Protection Officer can be contacted on all matters concerning the processing of personal data and the exercise of rights in relation to data processing.

 

  1. Purpose of personal data processing

 

  1. Your personal data will be processed mainly to fulfil our statutory activities and in particular for the following purposes:

 

  • collecting artefacts and documentation materials within the statutorily defined scope, acquired through purchase, receipt, donations, deposits and field research,
  • cataloguing and scientific processing of the collections,
  • setting up permanent and temporary exhibitions,
  • organising and carrying out research and scientific expeditions within the scope of the Museum's activities,
  • conducting educational activities,
  • carrying out publishing activities within the scope of the Museum's activities,
  • subscription to the newsletter,
  • implementing concluded service or work order contracts, on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation,
  • implementing legal obligations incumbent on the Controller, pursuant to Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation for tax and accounting purposes,
  • resulting from the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller, on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation), e.g. for:

 

  1. the marketing of the Controller's own services and products,
  2. the establishment, defence and redress of claims,
  3. the purposes of producing compilations, analyses and statistics for the Controller's internal use, which includes reporting, marketing research, planning the development of services, creating statistical models,
  4. administrative purposes, as well as for network and information security.

 

  1. Legal basis for personal data processing:

 

  1. Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR in relation to:

 

  • act of 21 November 1996 on museums (Dz.U. 2012, item 987 and 2015, item 1505);
  • act of 25 October 1991 on the organisation and conduct of cultural activities (Dz.U. 2012, item 406, 2014, item 423 and 2015, items 337 and 1505);
  • act of 23 July 2003, on monument protection and care (Dz. U. no. 162, Item 1568, as amended);

 

  1. Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR - in respect of personal data beyond that which is mandatory by law.

 

  1. The recipients of your personal data are:

 

  1. Entities supporting the operational implementation of the Agreement, such as: technical support for devices and products used for the implementation of the Agreement, invoice handling, operating contact platforms, entities conducting postal and courier activities,
  2. Entities providing consultancy, advisory, auditing, legal, tax and accounting assistance to the Controller.

 

  1.  Transfer of data to a third country:

 

  1. Personal data collected at the Museum will not be transferred to a third country.

 

  1. Personal information

 

  1. The personal data will be stored for the duration of the Contract and, to the extent related to the defence or assertion of claims, until the statute of limitations has expired. The Controller may keep personal data for longer, but this will only happen for legitimate reasons if the law allows such storage.

 

  1. Your rights

 

  1. You are entitled, in relation to your personal data, to the extent and subject to exceptions under the GDPR or other legislation, to:

 

  • request access to personal data from the Controller,
  • request the Controller to rectify your personal data,
  • request deletion of data,
  • request the restriction of data processing,
  • object to the processing of personal data,
  • data portability within the scope of Article 20 of the General Data Protection Regulation,
  • lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you find that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions on data protection.

 

  1. The provision of personal data is voluntary, but necessary for the purposes indicated above.

 

  1. Information on cookies
